Planned Equipment Outage Advisory HVGB – No anticipated outage for customers

Customers in the Happy Valley Goose Bay area are advised of a planned equipment outage occurring in two phases – overnight Thursday into Friday (October 21) and overnight Saturday into Sunday (October 23).

This work is not anticipated to impact customers –  however, with cooler temperatures and increasing loads, there is a small possibility that some customers may loose power for a short time. In the event that loads increase and customers loose power, work will be concluded and customers will be restored promptly.

Customers in North West River and Sheshatshiu, as well as customers in the Lower Valley and Mud Lake, are advised that there is a small possibility of a customer outage in the overnight hours of the dates identified above.

Hydro is planning appropriately to avoid a customer outage while completing this equipment work. Hydro is splitting the work into two phases and ensuring the back-up gas turbine is ready and available, as well as planning to cease work if customer load increases too high.
